Hosted by radio presenters Becky Measures and Simon Morykin, the 13 awards recognise outstanding acts of bravery and kindness by people from within the Chesterfield community.

The Young Person of Courage Award was won by Anya Willerton, who has refused to allow multiple disabilities to set her back.  An elective amputee at age 16, Anya, who currently attends college, has not given up on her desire to further her education in the performing arts, despite it taking longer than normal due to her learning disabilities.

Anya received her award from Laura Cowan, head of Graysons’ private client team, who said:

“I was delighted to be able to present this award to Anya who has shown amazing strength and resilience in her life.  The nomination video, presented by Anya’s mother was very emotional.  All of the award winners are inspirational in achieving their goals despite the issues they face every day.  Graysons is proud to be part of such a wonderful event and we look forward to supporting the event in 2024.”
