The focus of Good Divorce Week this year is to highlight why the Government must support better advice for separating families, to highlight the difficulties that backlogs in court are causing families and to raise awareness of the alternatives to court for those with family law issues.
Bradie Pell, partner and head of Graysons’ family team says:
“Divorce is never really ‘good’, but it doesn’t always have to be litigated and drawn out; it can be amicable and cost-effective. There are alternative mechanisms, such as mediation, roundtable meetings, arbitration, voluntary disclosure via solicitors… the list goes on. Whilst in some cases, court is a necessity, it should be the last resort, not the first option.”
All of Graysons’ family advisors are members of Resolution and can help if you wish to discuss any of these options. Contact our family law team now to make an appointment.
