Ashgate Hospice inaugural HeART event
HeART of Ashgate was sponsored by Chesterfield-based Graysons Solicitors, and saw the hospice and its gardens transformed into a showcase for work donated and created by artists from across the region.
The three-day event, which ran from Friday, August 7th to Sunday, August 9th, brought together art, live entertainment, food and family activities while raising vital funds to support Ashgate Hospice’s specialist care for patients and their families.
Paintings, illustrations, prints, photography, ceramics and mixed-media work were among the pieces on display and available to buy, while artists also showcased and sold their work in the gardens.
Laura Cowan, partner at Graysons Solicitors, said:
“It was wonderful to see so many people enjoying the first HeART of Ashgate and supporting such an important local cause.
“We were delighted to sponsor the event and to see art and creativity used in such a positive way to bring people together and raise funds for the hospice.
“Our relationship with Ashgate Hospice has developed over many years and we are very proud to continue supporting its work.”
The sponsorship builds on Graysons’ longstanding relationship with Ashgate Hospice, which has included support for its Dragonfly, Butterfly and Forget Me Not appeals and the recent Tree of Life initiative.
