Debbie Martin, personal injury legal executive

Debbie has 15 years’ experience of working in the field of personal injury.  Starting her legal career as soon as she left school as a junior in a personal injury department, she progressed quickly, first moving into legal secretarial work and then on to be a paralegal in 2000.  Debbie undertook her Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx) studies whilst gaining invaluable practical experience handling personal injury cases and she qualified as a chartered legal executive in 2005.

Handling a wide variety of personal injury cases, including employer liability, public liability, road traffic accidents, catastrophic injury and head injury, Debbie really enjoys the diversity of her work. Some of her most notable cases have included winning £4.2 million and £2.4 million in compensation for 2 clients who suffered head injuries.  She has also won £1.2 million compensation for someone who had a partial amputation following a motorbike accident and £15,000 for a child who suffered a serious arm injury in a soft play area.

Debbie is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL).

When not at work, Debbie enjoys playing badminton and other sports and often takes part in the Race for Life.
