The Illot case, on which we reported last year, saw Heather Illot dispute her estranged mother’s will, which left the majority of  her estate (around £500k) to the charities.  Heather was originally awarded £50,000, but the Court of Appeal increase that to £164,000 last year.  The charities are now appealing against that decision.
