Ashgate Hospice’s Butterfly Appeal raises over £100,000

Following Graysons’ recent sponsorship of Ashgate Hospice’s Butterfly Appeal, we are delighted to say that the appeal has raised over £100,000 so far.

Ashgate HospiceWe recently received a wonderful thank you from the hospice, which said:

Thanks to you, our nurses and care staff are able to continue supporting patients with a life-limiting illness and their families across North Derbyshire, both at the hospice and in their homes. Your support could not have come at a more crucial time as we continue to face rising costs and fewer donations due to the cost-of-living crisis.”

Graysons also sponsored Ashgate’s two Forget-Me-Not appeals in 2021 and 2022 and is honoured to have been involved again this year.  Our partners and staff were present during the three-week display at Chatsworth House, giving visitors a friendly person to talk to and helping them to make a donation if they wanted to. Ashgate Hospice says that many of its supporters commented how kind our staff were.

The appeal saw 1,400 butterflies, created by sculptor James Sutton, on display at Chatsworth House, but so far, 2,800 butterflies have been dedicated in memory of loved ones by over 1,800 people and this number is still rising! Over 700 of these people are new supporters this year, which shows fabulous admiration for the hospice and Butterfly Appeal.
