Action Mesothelioma Day Derbyshire 2016

Mesothelioma is a rare, incurable form of cancer that affects the lining of the lung or abdomen and is caused by inhaling asbestos dust.  Causing a lot of discomfort, it has a long latency period and can develop decades after first inhaling asbestos fibres.

Every year, on 1st July, awareness of the disease is raised during Action Mesothelioma Day – originally set up by the British Lung Foundation in 2006.

Graysons works closely with the Derbyshire Asbestos Support Team (DAST) to help those who suffer from the disease to claim compensation where possible.

This year Graysons attended DAST’s Action Mesothelioma Day, which is aimed at:

  • Bringing families together to campaign for justice.
  • Remembering loved ones who have died of mesothelioma.
  • Raising awareness about the dangers of asbestos.
  • Informing mesothelioma victims about current and future treatments.

You can watch a video of the event here.
