Coronavirus / COVID-19 update

In line with recent Government and Public Health announcements, we are taking steps to facilitate our staff returning to work from the office and for the re-opening of the office for client appointments.

We are taking a phased approach to our “return to work” plans and implementation in accordance with Public Health Guidelines and recommendations of the Law Society.

Under Phase 1, our Solicitors, Executives and Paralegals handling client matters will be dividing their time between working from home and working from the office.  We have appropriate distancing and health and safety procedures in operation.

When working from home our Solicitors, Executives and Paralegals have telephone, email and video conferencing facilities available to them and can manage client cases accordingly.

Of course, increased access to administrative support and client files will assist the delivery of client services.

Direct dial and email contact addresses will reach our Solicitors, Executives and Paralegals whether they are working from home or in the office.  Clients are encouraged to use these contact arrangements for their own convenience and to assist the person dealing with their case.

We now have additional numbers of administration staff working in the office on a full time basis to support our client facing staff.

In early July, we hope to move to Phase 2 of our “return to work” programme.  This will be subject to further Government and Public Health Guidance and Law Society recommendations.

We envisage being in a position to re-open the office to clients at this stage for pre-booked appointments.  Our client facilities are being adapted to ensure safe distancing and appropriate hygiene and health measures.  We are installing safety screens in our reception and meeting rooms, ensuring that seating arrangements are well spaced and equipping the premises with hand sanitisers.  Face masks and gloves will be available should clients require them.

We will aim to increase the amount of time our Solicitors, Executives and Paralegals have in the office during Phase 2 with more administration and support staff returning.

We will move towards Phase 3 of our “return to work programme” by the end of August subject again to Government and Public Health Guidelines and Law Society recommendations.

We will continue to maintain safe practices for the foreseeable future and in accordance with continuing Government and Public Health Guidelines and Law Society recommendations.

We have posted various updates regarding our services and how these can be accessed whilst restrictions are in place.  These are detailed in the Coronavirus/COVID-19 menu.

We will continue to publish updates on our website and by way of general email and/or SMS messaging where appropriate and through our social media channels.  We are grateful to clients and business colleagues for their understanding and support whilst restrictions continue and for their acceptance of the decisions we have made and the policies we have put in place in accordance with Government and Public Health directives.

We believe that our phased “return to work” programme is in the best interests of our clients and staff to maintain health and safety whilst moving towards a resumption of normal access to the office and delivery of client services.

In the meantime, we are doing everything we can to maintain the levels of service we expect to give.
