Coronavirus / COVID-19 update

In line with recent Government and Public Health announcements, we are taking steps to facilitate staff returning to work from our offices and for the re-opening of the offices for client appointments.

We are taking a phased approach to our “return to work” plans and implementation in accordance with Public Health Guidelines and recommendations of the Law Society.

Our Solicitors, Executives and Paralegals handling client matters are presently dividing their time between working from home and working from the office. We have established a “rota” which provides for our client advisors to be in the office 5 days out of 10. We have appropriate distancing and health and safety procedures in place. By operating the “rota” system, we are limiting the numbers of staff in the office at the same time.

Some key administration, management and support staff are working in the office on a full time basis.

When working from home, our Solicitors, Executives and Paralegals have telephone, email and video conferencing facilities available to them and can manage client cases accordingly.

Direct dial and email contact addresses will reach our Solicitors, Executives and Paralegals whether they are working from home or in the office. Clients are encouraged to use these contact arrangements for their own convenience and to assist the person dealing with their case.

We are awaiting further Government and Public Health Guidelines to enable us to consider arrangements for more office based working and to begin reopening our offices to clients for pre-booked appointments.

Our client facilities have been adapted to ensure safe distancing and appropriate hygiene and health measures. We have installed safety screens in our reception and meeting rooms. Seating arrangements have been adapted for additional spacing. We have installed hand sanitisers and temperature readers are shortly to be installed. Face masks and gloves will be available should clients require them.

Our aim is to gradually increase the amount of time our Solicitors, Executives, Paralegals and support staff have in the office. We will keep under review the possible reopening of the offices to clients on a strict appointment basis and consistent with any further Government and Public Health Guidelines and Law Society Recommendations which may be issued. Our priority will be to continue maintaining safe practices.

We have posted various updates regarding our services and how these can be accessed whilst restrictions are in place. These are detailed in the Coronavirus/COVID-19 menu.

We will continue to publish updates on our website and by way of general email and/or SMS messaging where appropriate and through our social media channels. We are grateful to clients and business colleagues for their understanding and support whilst restrictions continue and for their acceptance of the decisions we have made and the policies we have put in place in accordance with Government and Public Health directives.

We believe that our phased “return to work” programme is in the best interests of our clients and staff to maintain health and safety whilst moving towards a resumption of normal access to the office and delivery of client services.

In the meantime, we are doing everything we can to maintain the levels of service we expect to give.
