One hundred and thirteen foot jump in aid of Cavendish Cancer Care

Just two runs left now as our daredevil jumpers abseiled down Monsal Head viaduct over the weekend!

Last updated on November 30th, 2021 at 11:32 am

Members of our ‘three runs and a jump challenge’ team, Megan Wroe, Neil Adams and Sophie Balfour all braved the horrible rainy weather and descended the 113-foot drop successfully in aid of Cavendish Cancer Care.  A bit scary for all of them to start with as they climbed through the railing on the bridge, and descended the sheer slippery brick face, but all enjoyed the eventual 70-foot swing to the bottom when over the arches – with no casualties.

Our target for this challenge is £1,500 and we are delighted to say that we have already achieved that by raising over £1,600.  That won’t stop our intrepid challenge team though, and next up is the Sheffield Half Marathon on April 8th.   We’d be delighted if you would come along and support us.

Well done to our Monsall Head team, and thank you very much to everyone who has already supported us.  We’d really love to completely smash our target of £1,500 and you can still sponsor us on our Just Giving page at https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/3runsandajump if you’d like to help us do that.
