The gala, which, amongst other events, included a vintage car show, pram/wheelbarrow race, fell race, scarecrow competition, swimming events, ceilidh and live music, opened on Saturday 2nd July and ran until Saturday 9th of July.
Graysons had a stand at the event on both Saturdays: attended by volunteers from its staff who handed out our branded goodies to hundreds of visitors. It was the first outing for our tote bags featuring a brand-new design by local artist, Alan Pennington, capturing the famous location known as ‘surprise view’ – and they certainly went down well. As did the sweets we handed out – and the water bowls we had for our furry friends! We were also honoured to have sponsored the gala’s Royal Family event.
Katie Birch, private client advisor at Graysons said:
‘The gala was fantastic. We all had a great time and met so many lovely local people. We sold over 400 raffle tickets for the gala and were delighted to draw the raffle at the end of the week. We raised £500 that will go back into the community towards groups such as guides, brownies and scouts, lunch clubs for the elderly, and befriending services as well as helping to buy a defibrillator at the local swimming pool and helping with the cost of the gala.”
