Lord Mayor Cllr Gail Smith along with Peter Clark at the Botanical Gardens to launch the 2021 Art in the Gardens event.

Sheffield’s Botanical Gardens is once again the setting for the event which, for the third year running, sees Graysons Solicitors return as premier sponsor.

The city-based legal firm has a keen interest in art. It’s also the sponsor of Sheffield Young Artists and regularly works with local artist Alan Pennington.

Peter Clark, managing partner at Graysons, said:

“We’ve had the privilege of being involved in Art in the Gardens since 2019 and we’re looking forward to being present once again this weekend. It has been a very difficult year with further lockdowns and restrictions and it’s a pleasure to be able to help stage such an important event in the city’s arts calendar.”

Art in the Gardens is widely recognised as the largest event of its kind in the region.

It will take place at Sheffield’s Botanical Gardens on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th September from 10.30 am to 5.30 pm each day, with a preview evening on Friday 3rd September.

As we get closer to attending this year’s Art in the Gardens, we are excited to share below one of the paintings that Sheffield artist, Alan Pennington, has created especially for Graysons this year. Peter Clark, managing partner at Graysons, says:

Art in the Gardens“We have worked with Alan for several years now and he has created some stunning images for our offices, several of which have been previewed at previous Art in the Gardens events.  This year is no exception. Alan has come up with some new designs exclusively for Graysons, the first of which you can see here.   If you visit us at our stand in the Botanical Gardens this weekend, you will be able to see a selection of Alan’s work.  We will also be holding our very popular children’s art competition again this year, which Alan has kindly helped to judge for the last two years.

We always enjoy visiting the other exhibitors’ stands and sharing our enthusiasm for the event with the thousands of people who attend.  We look forward to seeing you all again this year.”
