On Friday 7th December, our staff donned their best festive gear and had a bake sale to support Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice Christmas Jumper Day. Bluebell Wood supports children whose lives are too short – both in their own homes and in its hospice in North Anson. The charity needs to raise £11,000 every day to fund its operation. Only ten percent of this comes from the government and the rest has to come from its own fundraising efforts and the support of local people and organisations. Here at Graysons, we are delighted to have done our bit simply by wearing our Christmas jumpers.
We are also pleased to have supported Hallam FM’s Mission Christmas appeal again this year and have collected a fantastic stack of toys and gifts for children in the region who might not otherwise get a gift on Chrismas morning. Hallam FM collects the gifts from companies and individuals and distributes them to the children. 2018 is the third year in which Graysons has been involved in Hallam FM’s fantastic mission. It is a charity close to our hearts and, thanks to our very generous staff, we are delighted to have been able to make such a fantastic donation this year. We delivered our gifts to Hallam FM today – thank you Neil and Betty for your help – and saw first hand the number of gifts that local people had donated. Santa’s helpers were very busy at Hallam HQ today.
We hope our donations to both of these very worthy charities have made a difference to a child this Christmas.
