Weston Park Hospital is one of only three dedicated cancer hospitals in the UK and is a world-renowned centre of excellence for treatment and research.
The hospital and its associated facilities are massive assets not only to Sheffield, but this region as a whole, and as cancer directly touches the lives of one in every three people, it is a popular cause to support.
However, there is always more work to be done, and legacies are a vital part of funding for Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity.
As the only dedicated charity for the hospital, the Cancer Charity funds pioneering cancer research and helps to improve the treatment and care for people living with cancer.
Leaving a gift in your will to the Cancer Charity will have huge benefits not only for patients being treated now, but also for those who will be treated in the future.
There are two ways to leave a gift to Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity in your will:
A residuary gift allows you to leave Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity a share of your estate, once you have provided for your family.
A pecuniary gift allows you to leave a specific amount of money to Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity.
Gifts to charity left in your will are currently free of inheritance tax and so could reduce the amount of tax your estate pays.
It is a simple process to leave a legacy to Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity, either by making a Will if you do not have one, or by amending your existing Will.
