APIL warns MPs that whiplash tariff will result in ‘under compensation’

The Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) has warned the government that its proposals to introduce a tariff of compensation will result in people being under compensated.

In a briefing prepared by APIL for the debate of the Prisons and Courts Bill which will commence at about 3.30 today, and can be watched on the BBC Parliament Channel or at parliament.tv, APIL suggests that the tariffs are “derisory and offensive” and that insurance companies will not keep their promise to reduce premiums.
