Leanne Barton

Hailing from Lancashire, Leanne has lived in Sheffield for several years now and graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a degree in law – LLB (Hons) –  in 2004.  She then took time out to travel before joining Graysons WE in 2007, where she undertook her training contract.  She qualified in 2009 after completing her Legal Practice Course at The University of Sheffield and has worked in the family law department ever since.

As a specialist in family law, Leanne deals with the whole range of family matters, but she has particular expertise in dealing with financial issues for separating couples.  She is a member of the family law organisation, Resolution.  She also widens her horizons by being a member of Junior Chamber International (JCI) Sheffield, a global organisation whose aim is help to develop and empower young professionals.

Leanne has dealt with several complex cases and in particular she won a ground-breaking Court of Appeal legal battle where she successfully appealed against a County Court judge’s decision to refuse a sister contact with her half siblings.  Contact was awarded to the sister.
